The way you take bad news influences how you think,
when someone tells you, you are doing something wrong, you can take it either
in a positive or negative way, so here we can learn that emotions may influence
our critical thinking.
Critical and creative thinking take place basically
because we need to identify the assumptions and check them for accuracy in
order to make decisions, create new ideas and choose the correct choice, but
the real reason way you think critically is because you need to prepare
yourself to inform actions.
If you may think creatively then you may think about
the different and multiple views in the different situations you may face, you
have to think creatively in order to move out of the typical mental framework
you are living, to have different and multiple ideas about an activity.
Assumptions can make you change your thinking.
There are three different types of assumptions:
*Casual: This type explains a sequence of events that
might happen in your life, it gives accurate and true reasons.
*Prescriptive: It explains how things should happen
and how you should face them.
*Paradigmatic: It frames and in somehow puts under a
dome a situation and an action.
In the same way, there are different ways to engage
your students into a critical thinking:
-Analytic Philosophy: It is an inductive, logical,
inferential reasoning; it is basically conducted to formulate constructive
arguments.
-Natural Science: Which involves the application of
the scientific method- it is based on looking at the phenomenon and then try to
explain it through experiments.
-Critical theory: Someone who knows exactly how the
power moves in the society and how it influences in the society.
-Pragmatism: Someone who thinks in a pragmatic way is
someone who is opened to new knowledge and to new thinking, someone who sees
knowledge as constantly reinvented and in constantly change.
hi, i enjoyed reading your, it was clear and very well summarized , i loved your introduction because it takes interesting parts of the lecture like how we think critically because we need to prepare ourselves to inform action, so it is like a necesity to justify our actions, so the complex process of thinking critically have to get a result , an action.
